Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Colorado license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Special Requests: - Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. - Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. - Self-scheduling and block scheduling are available.

Unit Details: - The unit has no fast track or separate triage area, and ER holds are not in a separate holding area. - Separate psych/seclusion rooms are available, with in-house security housed in the ER 24/7. - The ER treats 10+ patients per day on average. - Common patient presentations include abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injuries, and extremity pain. - Common drips include cardiac, antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic, sedation and analgesia. - Respiratory therapy is available in the ER 24/7 and handles ABGs, breathing treatments, and EKGs. - Equipment includes vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow. - X-ray and CT availability, including transport, is shift-dependent. - Both phlebotomy and RNs draw labs.

Shift & Scheduling: - Full- and part-time employees must self-schedule 6-9 weekend shifts per six-week schedule, aligning with department needs, unit staffing plans, and ensuring equitable distribution among all staff. - Must be in state for the week of orientation, even if the first-day modules are remote. - Call requirements are determined by the nurse manager.

Floating Requirements: - First to float; if there is an extreme need, may float within Zone 1.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
