Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Colorado license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: RNs are required to be competent in reading telemetry strips.

Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
Unit Details: Patient population includes stroke, spine, neuro-trauma, and general medical-surgical patients. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4/5 on days and 1:5/6 on nights. Common drips include analgesics for pain, anticoagulants for blood clots, and antihypertensives for blood pressure control. The unit uses Phillips telemetry, which is centrally monitored off the unit. Nurse aide-to-patient ratio is 1:12. Patients have moderate oxygen needs.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend requirements are 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6 week schedule; full- and part-time employees are expected to self-schedule these shifts. Holiday coverage is required. Self-scheduling and block scheduling are available. Call requirements are determined by the nurse manager. Clinicians must be in state for the week of orientation, even if the first day modules are remote.
Floating Requirements: The clinician may be asked to float into any other acuity level, including ICU (taking low-acuity holds within the clinician’s skill set), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele; in an extreme need, the clinician may float within Zone 3 to OCH, LUH, SAH, or SAN.
