Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: IV skills, phlebotomy, telemetry remote monitoring, colostomy care, feeding tube care and management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting IVs, heparin, insulin, PCA, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias. Epic required for first-time travelers only.

Required Credentials: No medical marijuana cards accepted.

Special Requests: Clinicians who obtained an RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO, IL, or Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Unit Details: Adult GI/GU and medical overflow patient population, including ostomy, colon resection, colon cancer, and bladder cancer; high turn-over surgery patients. Special procedures/unit details: foleys, CBI continuous bladder irrigation, TURPs, and protocols for colorectal patients. Common therapies on the unit include PCAs, epidurals, CBIs with different irrigation solutions, centralized telemetry, and drips such as heparin, lidocaine (pain only), bicarb, bivalirudin, and occasionally stable non-titrated amiodarone.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend required. No call. RTO restrictions: No more than 7 days.

Floating Requirements: Float within service line.

AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
