Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $1960 per week.

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Meditech is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Pennsylvania license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as a traveler at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Time-off requests are accepted based on department needs; shift preferences and block scheduling may be accommodated, but are not guaranteed.

Unit Details:
Patient population includes cardiac, neurology, and postoperative medical-surgical patients.
RNs titrate drips.
Heparin is a common titratable or set-rate drip.
Respiratory therapy manages all respiratory needs; there are no ventilators on the Med-Surg unit.
The department uses TelePacks; the ICU completes rhythm interpretation.

Shift & Scheduling:
Day/night rotating shifts.
Every other weekend.
Every other holiday.
The department typically aims to provide 2 or 3 days off when switching from nights back to days.

Floating Requirements:
Floating is limited to areas with medical patients.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

Driver's license required for submission
