Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $1990 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Additional Details:
Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level if applicable, patient ratio, and whether it was a teaching facility. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: - Must be proficient with central lines, NG tube management, ostomies, and drain management. - Must be able to read telemetry strips.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Experience with CBIs and Foley management preferred.
Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Previous employees may be considered only with St. Luke’s Health System approval.
Unit Details: - Multiple-specialty med/surg floor caring for bariatric, urology, colorectal, vascular, acute care surgery, gynecologic, plastic surgery, breast reconstruction, Whipple, pectus surgery, cystic fibrosis, and general medical patients. - Uses set-rate heparin drips; titratable drips are not managed on the unit. - Uses remote telemetry monitoring, CPAP, high flow, and occasional BiPAP; BiPAP-dependent patients are transferred to a higher level of care. - Travelers may serve as charge if needed with prior experience. - Uses Epic.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend, but may be more often if needed. - Holidays as needed. - No call. - Scheduler works to group night shifts in sets of 3 when possible.
Floating Requirements: - Floating to like med/surg units at Meridian Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center is required. Travelers are first to float. Not super common.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years
