Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2050 per week.

Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.
• ADN completion required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.
• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Recent Epic experience required. One travel assignment required.
Unit Details: Patient population includes chest pain, abdominal pain, flank pain, CVA/TIA, generalized weakness, and patients awaiting placement or geri-psych placement. Unit skill set includes PIV insertion and stable drips (heparin, Lasix, and Protonix). Patient ratios are 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-7 on NOCs. The charge nurse rarely takes patients on day shift but takes an assignment on night shift. Precepting students and new hires may be required.
Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours are 36 per week; 48-hour weeks are accepted upon request. Three weekends are required in every six-week schedule. Every other holiday is required. Weekly hours are not guaranteed during orientation week or when the unit is closed for holidays.
Floating Requirements: The first float is within the clinician’s skill set. Floating may include the Deaconess Midtown campus in Indiana, 8 miles apart, and potentially Deaconess Henderson in Kentucky, 11 miles away. Two hours’ notice is given for cross-campus floating. Mid-shift floating is within the same campus; cross-campus mid-shift floating is unlikely but possible.
