Shift: 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Cerner is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Required Skills/Experience: - Telemetry/remote monitoring and use of rapid response teams required. - Colostomy care and feeding tube care and management required. - Required IV therapy/phlebotomy skills include accessing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draw, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, and starting IVs. - Experience with heparin, insulin, and PCA required. - Experience with CVA, pre/post-neurosurgery, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injury required. - Surgical drain experience required. - Required respiratory skills/experience include chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur-evac), CPAP/BiPAP, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oral suctioning, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tank, pre/post-thoracic surgery, and tracheostomy management. - Required professional knowledge and skills include isolation precautions and wound care/wound vac. - Continuous bladder irrigation experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Previous Charge Experience: Preferred - Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Special Requests: - You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. - RTO is ideally limited to no more than 5 days. - A no-cost parking permit is required.

Unit Details: - Adult and geriatric patient population. - Neuro patient population. - Average daily census: 32.

Shift & Scheduling: - Will work every other weekend. - No call.

Floating Requirements: - Will float as needed.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 2

1 Manager reference required

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required
