Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2200 per week.

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at any facility in this health system in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at any facility in this health system in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at any facility in this health system in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted.

Special Requests:

RTO is needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract).

Unit Details:
The unit uses a dyad model: each nurse has their own CNA and support from a virtual nurse.
The CNA ratio is 1:6–7, and the virtual nurse ratio is 1:30.
The 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio occurs at least once a week.
Patients include medical, surgical, and orthopedic cases.
Heparin is the only titratable drip.
The unit has telemetry on the floor with a centralized telemetry station.

Shift & Scheduling:
Shift times: 0630-1900 or 1830-0700.
Weekend work is as needed.
Holiday work is as needed.
No call.

Floating Requirements:
Floats to PCU or Burn.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
