Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• 6 months of travel experience is required.
• Experience with Allscripts/Eclipsys is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Ringgold County Hospital.

Required Skills/Experience: Previous travel required (2 assignments minimum).
Special Requests: Traveler scheduling requests, including block scheduling, will be considered.
Unit Details: Cares for geriatric patients, minimal pediatric patients, post-op ortho, general surgery post-op, and general vascular surgery/fem-pop patients held for 24 hours; transfers out patients needing a higher level of care. RNs titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Levophed. Telemetry patients are cared for on the unit, and telemetry strips are interpreted by the RN. Charge nurse and ER nurse are the same role and may assist on Med Surg when the ER is not busy. Nurse aide support is available if staffed. RT equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow. Vented patients are minimal and transferred out after intubation; travelers are not expected to have vent experience.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend; may be scheduled on other weekend days if absolutely needed. Fri-Sun preferred; otherwise weeknights with every other weekend. Weekend-only nurses will be considered. Holidays as required if they fall within the contract and are not part of RTO. Low-census or standby shifts go to core staff first unless travelers volunteer.
Floating Requirements: May help in ER during emergent situations and some ER shifts may be involved; you will not be left alone if you are not trained in the ER.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
