Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 18 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a New Hampshire license or compact license (required after submission).
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Prolucent Health Program - Dartmouth Hitchcock and no current placement allowed at Program: Prolucent Health Program - Dartmouth Hitchcock.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Recent experience at a Level 1 trauma center is required. Sterile Processing Tech only: Must have experience at a similar-sized hospital (minimum 400 beds). Surgical Technologist only: Must have Level 1 experience or comparable Level 2 experience in a larger city/large bed-size facility. Minimum of 1.5 years of recent equivalent experience required. Experience with chest tubes, tubes, drips such as diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone, lines/tubes/drains for post-surgical patients, trachs/laryngectomies, telemetry, complex wounds, and central line care/maintenance and blood draws is required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Level I trauma center experience preferred; several years at a Level II trauma center is acceptable.
Special Requests: Only 1 active application is allowed for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). If you applied for day shift, you can apply for night shift at the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for day shift at the same unit and facility.
Unit Details: Adult surgical unit caring primarily for trauma patients and acute care surgical patients. Fast-paced unit focused on rehabilitating and supporting patients. Includes 2 negative pressure rooms that can serve the COVID population. Common diagnoses include spinal cord injuries (new quadriplegics and paraplegics), traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic injuries related to trauma, hernia repair, small bowel obstructions, appendectomy, and cholecystectomy. RN patient ratios: days 1:4, nights 1:5.
