Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Additional Details:

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Preferred Credentials: ACLS preferred for Charge RN position.

Unit Details: General med patients with various diagnoses. Nurse-patient ratios: 4-5:1 days, 5-6:1 nights. Heparin titration/drips required. Patients may require oxygen up to 6L NC and stable BiPAP/CPAP at night or PRN. Remote telemetry monitoring via housewide telemetry department; Phillips monitors. RNs are expected to attempt IV starts and use unit resources if unsuccessful; inpatient phlebotomy team handles blood draws. Hospitalist/intensivist, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy are in house 24/7; medications are prepared by pharmacy staff.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend; nights work Fri/Sat. Holiday rotation per policy. No call.

Floating Requirements: Travel RNs are first to float to other units as needed.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
