Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Cardiac experience preferred.

Special Requests: - Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether the facility was a teaching facility. - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to. - Must take a full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location as well. - Must disclose previous employment on the resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. - Skills checklist cannot contain any N/As; all lines must have a numerical rating. - Must have ended any prior Sanford Health employment at least 6 months before submission.

Unit Details: - General duties include assessments, documentation, completion of nursing tasks, and medication administration. - Uses Omnicell and Alaris IV pumps. - Nurse-to-patient ratio: 4-5:1 on day shift, 5-6:1 on night shift.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend and every other holiday. - Rotating days and nights based on unit needs; may work 3 weeks of days then 3 weeks of nights in one schedule cycle, and the next schedule cycle may be all days or all nights. - Self-scheduling available; only contract-listed days off are assured, and self-scheduled shifts may be moved to balance unit needs. - If a specific day off cannot be supported, staff are expected to find someone to trade shifts. - Scheduling aims to avoid frequent flipping between days and nights.

Floating Requirements: - Primary unit is 6CD and expected to float to any med/surg unit at any of the 3 Sanford Medical Centers in Fargo.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
