Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2390 per week.

Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Minnesota license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <80 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health.

Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
Required Skills/Experience: Able to monitor telemetry patients.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with ortho patients highly preferred.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Previous employment with Sanford Health, Good Samaritan Society, or Marshfield Clinic Health System requires a full 6 months off before submission.
Unit Details: Medical, surgical, and ortho patients; may also care for behavioral health patients. Procedures and responsibilities include chest tube management, trach care, assisting with paracentesis or thoracentesis, care of behavioral health patients with medical emergencies, admissions, and discharges. Uses AccuDose, EZ Stand, Hoyer Lift, overbed lift, SCDs, glucometers, and Space Labs vitals machines. Nurse-to-patient ratios: Days 4-5:1; nights 5-6:1.
Shift & Scheduling: Day/night rotation. Every other weekend and holiday.
Floating Requirements: If not needed on Med Surg, may float to Telemetry, Observation, Acute Rehab, or rarely Post-Partum. Travelers are first to float per union contract. May also float to OB, CCU, or ICU to care for Med Surg overflow patients or work as a 1:1 sitter. In OB, assignment is limited to stable postpartum moms, and the OB RN completes assessments outside Med Surg training, such as fundal checks.
