Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Georgia license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Phoebe Putney and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Phoebe Putney.

Required Skills/Experience: - 1 travel assignment required. - 2 years of specialty experience required. - Need to have experience with the same type of hospital acuity; no critical access hospital-only background. Need experience at a larger organization with high acuity, high turnover, and fast pace.
Unit Details: - Uses Meditech. - Patient population includes diabetes, CHF, COPD, GI bleed, renal failure, dialysis, overflow post-surgical patients, amputations, debridements, wound care, DVTs, ETOH, and psych. - Dialysis nurse available. - Common medications include Lasix, Bumex, and Heparin. - Monitored patients are on a different unit; nurses are not required to read strips. - CPAP; BiPAP at night only. - Charge nurses typically do not take a patient assignment unless needed. - CNA support is generally 1:12 and CNAs may be pulled for 1:1 observation and sitters. - LPNs and LPN-Cs are used on the floor.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Maximum time off: 3 days.
Floating Requirements: - Floats to all acute care and cardio units to care for medical patients, or to the EC for acute care patient holds.
3 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
