Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• Experience with Cerner is required.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Memorial Health System - IL and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Memorial Health System - IL.

Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: First-time travelers accepted only with > 2 years’ experience in medical/surgical nursing and a solid RN foundation. Previous Charge Experience: Required. MS/Tele experience required. Telemetry remote monitoring and use of Rapid Response Teams. Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management and renal failure. Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, and Starting IVs. Heparin. Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, and Portable Oxygen tank. Isolation Precautions and Wound Care/Wound Vac.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Kidney Transplant preferred. Urology/Nephrology preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
Special Requests: Ideally no more than 5 days of RTO.
Unit Details: Adult patient population. Continuous Bladder Irrigation, Difficult Urinary Catheter Insertion Team, and Post Operative Care of the Kidney Transplant Patient. Busy unit discharging and re-admitting about a third to half of the floor per day; on rare occasions, may have up to 7 patients. 50-75% Urology/Nephrology illness and surgical procedures, as well as Kidney Transplant. Frequent Kidney Stones, Enlarged Prostates, cancer of the kidney, bladder, penile, and prostate, as well as complex bladder urology surgeries. End stage kidney disease. Medical Surgical overflow with diagnoses including UTI, pneumonia, and cellulitis. Step-down transfers from ICU and IMC with a wide range of diagnoses.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. No call.
Floating Requirements: Float to other Medical Surgical units.
5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 2
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required
