Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the past 3 years.
• Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 24 months between Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine
• 24 months between Travel at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine

Additional Details:
Required Skills / Experience: Transfuse blood, Wound Vac Changes, PCA Pumps
Required Credentials: Licensing hits must be disclosed at the time of submission.
Special Requests: Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.
LPNs only: Must have previously worked on at least (1) a travel assignment with Trusted and have a reference from that assignment
Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Requirement: As Needed
No self-scheduling. Schedules are discussed with staff and Set schedules are usually followed depending on staff preference and personal needs.
Schedule is adjusted accordingly when vacations and holidays need to be covered.
Holiday Requirement: May be asked to go into the Holiday Rotation. Holidays are based on a rotating schedule
Currently the holidays are: Group 1 - New Years Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, and Group 2 - Memorial Day, Labor Day and Christmas. Alternate every other year Group 1 to Group 2.
No On Call. Standby is on EA.
EA is given for low census, 4 hours at a time. Dayshift: Low census given EA at 0500 for the daylight shift, call in at 0900 to see if needed. If needed, come in by 1100. If not needed, call back in at 1300. If needed, come in by 1500. If not needed, off for the rest of the shift.
Floating Requirements: Floating is on a rotating basis if needed on another unit. Last Float to another unit is kept track by the charge nurse and rotated to the next staff member. Can be voluntary also. Floating is not considered if covering the IRF(rehab unit).
7 days maximum time off
1 reference from last 2 years (Charge/Lead reference type) - required for submission
1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
