Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2820 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: TrioWFS Program - UnityPoint Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: 24 months of MS/Medical Surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting required. PCA and heparin experience required. First-time travelers accepted.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Post-op surgical experience highly preferred. Patient care experience with hip/knee, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries, including Medical Surgical, highly preferred.

Special Requests: Unless the unit is closed, required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day). Past UPH FTE employees, or PRN employees from the UPH float pool, cannot work travel in another UPH market if they currently work there or have worked there within the past 12 months. This does not apply to prior UPH travel employees.

Unit Details: Cares for hip/knee, mastectomy, and abdominal surgery patients. Unit has an emotional support canine.

Shift & Scheduling: Holiday rotation. No call. Every 3rd weekend. Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.

Floating Requirements: Required to float across campuses/units to like units across all campuses: Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission
