Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked at a facility in this program in the last 9 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Clinicians who live within 51-75 miles from the facility will be considered local.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Prefer 2 years, but willing to consider 1.5 years of M/S experience for quality candidates. Teaching hospital experience is preferred. Experience with heparin drips is preferred.

Special Requests: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. Must be able to work at the assigned work location throughout the full term of the contractual engagement. RTO is not granted for holidays, but the facility will work with the traveler on which holidays they want to work to meet the 50% requirement.

Unit Details: Adult patient population. The unit cares for floor-status internal medicine patients with a wide range of medical diagnoses, including diabetes complications, COPD exacerbation, ETOH/drug withdrawal, renal failure, and cellulitis. Some rooms have video monitoring capability and sitter rooms (up to 4 and 2 patients); rooms also include ceiling lifts and bariatric rooms. The average ratios are 1:5 for days and 1:6 for nights; day shifters have to go up to 6 patients at times, and night shifters have to go up to 7 patients.

Shift & Scheduling: Must be able to take call. Must be able to work assigned weekends. Work 50% of holidays that fall within contract. Rotating shifts and work during inclement weather will be required.

Floating Requirements: Required to float to MS and MS/Tele.
