Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 36 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with CPSI is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a New Mexico license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed.
• No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Artesia General Hospital.

Additional Details:
Dress Code: Artificial nails are not permitted. Hair coloring must be natural colors, acceptable hair coverings should be worn if hair coloring is outside of natural color. Visible face and neck tattoos are not acceptable. Tattoos reflecting racial, nudity, or derogatory images or words must be covered.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: - Must have 3 years of MS-Tele experience. - Ability to do drips. - Must be able to read and interpret tele.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - LTAC experience preferred. - PCU/Stepdown experience preferred. - Ability to maintain intubation preferred.
Special Requests: - The manager will ask for an ideal schedule, but travelers are asked to be flexible and help fill gaps in permanent schedules. The manager will try to accommodate requests; however, the facility will not sacrifice staff schedules to accommodate a special requested schedule.
Unit Details: - Medical/Surgical/PCU patient population. - There is no ICU in the hospital; if needed, patients transfer to a higher level hospital. - Patients can be very ill and on drips and have invasive monitors.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - May be asked to go in the holiday rotation.
Required Credentials: - Artesia has modules that must be completed prior to the clinician working the floor.
Floating Requirements: - Depending on competency, nurses may be called upon to work in PCU within the department.
7 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
1 reference required from within the last 3 years
Proof of identification required
Certifications:
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
