Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.

Required Credentials: Associate degree or certificate required.

Unit Details: The MAP unit includes medical and pediatric services; travelers do not take pediatric patients. Common adult diagnoses include respiratory illnesses, stroke, other neurological conditions such as seizure disorders, multiple sclerosis and chronic back pain, gastrointestinal illness, diabetes management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, other infectious disease processes and acute alcohol withdrawal. Patient ratios are 1:4-5 on days and 1:6-7 on nights.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and every other holiday. No call. The contract allows 36 hours of low census in hour increments as needed; the unit typically low-censuses in 4-hour increments and may ask a traveler to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift. Weekly hours are not applicable when the unit is closed for holidays.

Floating Requirements: Floats to all inpatient units as needed.

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 3 years

1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
