Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $3160 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:
Pulmonary patient care experience required.
First-time travelers are accepted if the 2-year Med-Surg experience requirement is met.
Recent/current charge experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Experience caring for pulmonary/ventilated patients on BiPAP and with tracheostomy care is highly preferred.
Level I trauma experience is highly preferred.

Special Requests:
Any past UnityPoint Health employee who was an FTE or PRN for the UnityPoint Health float pool cannot work travel in another market, regardless of which facility they currently work at or have worked at within the past 12 months. If they worked travel at UnityPoint Health rather than as an FTE or PRN, the separation policy does not apply.

Unit Details:
Patient population includes pulmonary and medical-surgical patients.
Common drip: heparin.
May care for COVID-positive patients.

Shift & Scheduling:
Flexible contract hours: 48 or 36 hours per week if preferred.
Unless the unit is closed, contractors are required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays.
Every other weekend or every third weekend, depending on staffing/census.
No call.

Floating Requirements:
Travelers will be required to float across all campuses: Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years

Driver's license required for submission
