Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $3160 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:
24 months of MS/Medical Surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting required.
PCA and heparin experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Post-op surgical experience highly preferred.
Patient care experience in hip/knee, mastectomy, and abdominal surgery, including Medical Surgical, highly preferred.

Special Requests:
Former UPH employees who were FTEs or PRN for the UPH float pool cannot work travel in another market, regardless of which facility they currently work at or have worked at within the past 12 months. The separation policy does not apply if they worked travel at UPH rather than as FTEs or PRN.

Unit Details:
Patient types include hip/knee, mastectomy, and abdominal surgery cases.
Common drips include PCA and heparin.
The unit has an emotional support canine.

Shift & Scheduling:
Flexible contract hours: 48 or 36 per week.
Unless the unit is closed, the contractor is required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year.
Weekend rotation is every other weekend or every 3rd weekend, depending on staffing/census.
No call.

Floating Requirements:
Must float across all campuses and units to like units, including Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years

Driver's license required for submission
