Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: SimpliFi Program - Advocate Health Midwest and no current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Advocate Health Midwest.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Chest tubes, IV skills, port/central lines, and knowledge of CPAP/BiPAP/Airvo.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Stable trach management preferred.

Unit Details: Oncology unit has some pediatric patients on the floor (>1 yr. old); pediatric experience is not needed and traveler will not care for these patients. Surgical cases include bowel surgeries, GU surgeries, and CBI. Patient population includes cellulitis, GI bleeds, CHF, overflow COVID/TB patients, and outpatient infusions (abx/fluids). Patient ratios: Day 1:4-5, PM/Eves: 1:6, Overnight: 1:7-8. Charge nurse takes a partial assignment. Phlebotomy available; RNs will draw from central lines. IV/VAT team Mondays and Thursdays. RT and hospitalist 24/7. RRT/Code Blue team. OT, PT, and ST during the weekdays with limited weekend coverage. Centralized tele with tele tech. Uses Alaris and Pyxis. Free parking

Shift & Scheduling: 1 12H shift and 3 8H shifts. Weekend rotation: Every other weekend. No call. Holiday expectations: rotation required

Floating Requirements: Will float within scope of practice and below, including to MS2, Cardiac MS2, CCU, and ER Holding. Would only take Med Surg level patients.

7 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
