Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Travel experience is required.

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required within the last 3 years.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Charge nurse experience preferred. Telemetry experience preferred due to floating needs within the hospital.

Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding. Two attempts allowed. SIMs Lab competency for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes is required; pass/fail.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Holiday scheduling is based on unit coverage.

Unit Details: Post-op, sepsis, pneumonia, COPD, diabetes, and infection patients. Heparin drips only; no cardiac gtts. Home unit does not have telemetry. No PCTs; utilizes a resource RN in addition to the charge RN.

Shift & Scheduling: Self-scheduling in 4-week blocks. 3 weekend days per pay period (Saturday/Sunday). No call.

Floating Requirements: Floating to other Med/Surg/Tele areas, including Tele, is required; travelers are first to float.

Details:

AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
