Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Pennsylvania license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Special Requests: - Artificial nails are not allowed for travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home or terminated. - If the candidate worked at the facility as permanent staff within the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from that permanent role. - Current/previous employee eligibility uses cumulative experience for previous travelers. - At least 1 reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to. - Blocked schedules may be allowed as long as unit needs are met.
Unit Details: - 1W primarily cares for post-surgical and orthopedic patients. - 2E primarily cares for Med-Surg patients with pneumonia, dialysis, palliative care, hospice, end-of-life, and low-volume inpatient chemo. - Tele patients are monitored remotely by the monitor tech on the 3rd floor; there are no monitors on the unit. - Heparin and occasional MSO4 drips for comfort measures; no cardiac drips. - Bipap, Cpap, and high flow patients are managed by RT. - The clinical manager functions as both charge nurse and nurse manager and usually does not take patients unless the census is greater than 24. - Night shift has a resource nurse who carries a full patient assignment. - No CNAs on nights. - COVID patients may be housed on a separate dirty hallway, while clean patients are housed on a different hallway; clinicians could be assigned both clean and dirty patients at the same time and must be comfortable with this.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. Saturday and Sunday are weekend shifts for both days and nights. - Required to work 2 Fridays per schedule. - Holidays rotate with permanent staff.
Floating Requirements: - Floating only to other Med-Surg units.
7 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
