Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Meditech is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health.

Additional Details:

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Credentials: - Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam required during onboarding.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - ER experience preferred. - Critical access facility experience appreciated.

Special Requests: - An interview may not be available prior to offer. - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. - Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. - Block scheduling available depending on staffing needs.

Unit Details: - Falls, CHF, bowel obstruction, A-fib, swingbed, and more. - Common titratable drips: insulin, heparin, levophed; set-rate amiodarone. - Mindray monitors; nurses read strips each shift and document, with no monitor techs. - Hamilton C1 ventilator with CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow; nurses manage respiratory equipment and administer respiratory treatments. The unit does not keep ventilated patients. - Charge nurse available 24/7 and does not take patient assignments because they also cover the ER; nursing supervisor Monday-Friday. - Critical access hospital environment where nurses wear many hats.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every 3rd weekend or more if desired. - Holiday rotation. - No on-call.

Floating Requirements: - Float to ER to help as needed; not first to float, depending on staffing.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
