Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 36 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• BSN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Additional Details:

Resume: Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether the facility is a teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Current or previous employees may be considered only as a one-off exception approved by St. Luke’s Health System.

Required Skills/Experience: Must have more than 3 years of experience with solid MedSurg or Tele background with preferred stroke experience. Ok with first-time traveler.

Unit Details: Neuro patient population includes stroke, spine/back surgeries, cranial surgeries (usually not assigned to travelers), neck surgeries, medical neuro disorders, neuro intervention procedures, Guillain-Barré, myasthenia gravis, seizures, EEG monitoring, and surgeries accessing the nerves. Average length of stay is 2-5 days. Neuroscience NPs staff 24/7 to support neuro surgery and neuro intervention patients. Serves a large geographic area and is the only site for neuro surgery. No titratable drips. Uses Epic. RT equipment/resources include CPAP, BiPAP, high flow, and trachs.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekends and holidays as needed. Tries to keep night shifts 3 in a row when possible, but this is not guaranteed. No call.

Floating Requirements: Float to support all Treasure Valley Med-Surg areas. Travelers are first to float.

7 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission
