Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.
• ASN completion required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Kentucky license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experiences - Requires trach care, vents, BiPAPs, CPAPs, IVs, PICCs, central lines, wound care, bowel programs, TPN, drains/tubes, care of pulmonary patients with trachs and laryngectomies, and G-tube/PEG-tube feedings. - High acuity rehab (needing more acute care experience)
Unit Details: - Mixed-acuity specialty rehab unit caring for traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), stroke (CVA), amputee, burn, pediatric, and multi-trauma patients. - Travelers are not expected to care for pediatric patients. - High-acuity rehab unit. - Patients float off unit for HD and PD. - Phlebotomy is available, but RNs are ultimately responsible. - No monitors on unit; uses Vital Sync monitors connected to Oxy net with a centralized monitoring area at night. - Uses Plum 360 IV pumps and Omnicell med dispensing. - Patient ratio 1:6-7; typically could go up to 7 2-3 times per month.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every third weekend. - No call. - Will be expected to work some holidays. If there are back-to-back holidays in the contract (i.e. Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day) they will be assigned one of the grouping, not both. - Shift times: 0630-1900, 1830-0700. - Schedule cycle: Every 6 weeks.
Floating Requirements: - Could float within scope of practice here. All staff evenly float; mainly use Float Pool to float.
