Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Minnesota license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <80 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health.

Additional Details:

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: Able to monitor telemetry patients.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with orthopedic patients highly preferred.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Must take a full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location. Previous employment must be disclosed for a DNU check. Previous Sanford Health employees must have an end date at least 6 months before submission, and previous Sanford Health employment must be disclosed.

Unit Details: Unit sees medical, surgical, and orthopedic patients, and may occasionally care for behavioral health patients. Procedures/cases include chest tube management, trach care, assisting with paracentesis or thoracentesis, and care of behavioral health patients with a medical emergency. Uses AccuDose, EZ Stand, Hoyer Lift, Overbed Lift, SCDs, glucometers, and Space Labs vitals machines. Includes admissions and discharges; ward secretary and nursing aides are available as needed. Patient ratios: days 4-5:1; nights 5-6:1.

Shift & Scheduling: To start, will work nights every weekend. Every other weekend and holiday.

Floating Requirements: Only if not needed in Med Surg, potential to float to telemetry, observation, acute rehab, or postpartum is very low. Per union contracts, travelers will be first to float.

7 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

1 reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission
