Shift: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM
Experience:
• 36 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 36 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >90 miles from facility to be submitted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: TrioWFS Program - UnityPoint Health.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - 36 months experience in Med Surg or in one of the following specialties: IMCU, PCU, Stepdown. - 1st time travelers accepted as long as there is 36 months of nursing experience including Epic EMR experience. - Work history/resume/employment history must have 24 months of current Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele experience. - Skills Checklist must be specific to the discipline listed on the job (Med Surg, Tele, Med/Tele)
Special Requests: - No local candidates within 90 miles of Finley Hospital. - Any past employee of UPH, whether FTE or PRN for the UPH float pool, cannot work travel in another market if they currently work at or have worked at a UPH facility within the past 12 months. If they worked travel at UPH, the separation policy does not apply. - Unless the unit is closed, required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.
Unit Details: - Cares for patients with stroke/neuro, CAPD, congestive heart failure, COVID, cath/cardiovascular, and COPD.
Shift & Scheduling: - No call. - Every other weekend. - No 48s
7 days maximum time off
2 references required from within the last 2 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
