Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Surgical, post-op, and early ambulation experience preferred.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Resume must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level if applicable, patient ratio, and whether the facility was a teaching facility for each employment history entry. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you are applying to. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Will consider block scheduling if unit needs are met. RTO must be requested upfront, with 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract. Additional RTO will not be approved after submission.

Unit Details: Nurse-patient ratios: days 1:4-5, nights 1:5-6. Common patient population and cases include total joint replacement, spinal surgery, urology procedures, abdominal surgery (lap appy, bowel resection), bariatrics, medical overflow, frequent Hemovac and JP drains, and colostomies. No GYN; cardiac med-surg/tele patients go elsewhere. No titratable drips; occasional heparin drips, PCA pumps, and TPN. Uses remote telemetry packs; monitor tech reads and interprets strips, and RNs do not read their own strips.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Holidays as needed.

Floating Requirements: First to float. Float to medical and telemetry; someone will assist with strips there, taking medical patients in that area.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
