Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Additional Details:

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Unit Details: - Fast-paced short stay unit with high patient turnover caring for stroke, trauma, cardiac, and general med patients including UTI, COPD, and cellulitis. - Does not titrate drips. - Charge RN available 24/7 and takes a patient assignment; house supervisor available 24/7. - PCT support on unit for patient care, vitals, accu-checks, and hourly rounding. - Uses BiPAP, CPAP, high flow, and Philips monitoring; RNs are not required to read EKG strips.

Shift & Scheduling: - 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule. - Every other holiday. - No on-call.

Floating Requirements: - Travelers are the first to float to other departments when needed. Short stay unit is general med acuity; if floated to a higher level of care and not experienced, they would be used more as a help-all for a team nursing approach.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
