Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health.

Additional Details:
Resume: Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether it was a teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: Min 1 year recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting, 250+ beds. Will not consider candidates currently on first travel assignment.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot take travelers living within a 60 mile radius of the facility. Must disclose previous employment with Sanford Health on the resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. If previously worked with Sanford, the end date must be at least 6 months prior to submission. Must take a full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location as well.
Unit Details: Adult medical/surgical patients, including patients experiencing behavioral disturbances. Uses telemetry, Philips monitors, bladder scanner, AcuVein, and Omnicell. Nurse to patient ratio: 5:1 on days, 6:1 on nights.
Shift & Scheduling: Day/night rotation with every other weekend and holiday. Rotation timing varies by unit needs and may be 3 weeks of days followed by 3 weeks of nights, or a full schedule cycle of all days or all nights. Self-scheduling is available, but only contract-listed days off are assured; self-scheduled shifts may be moved to balance the unit. If a specific day off cannot be supported, staff are asked to trade shifts. Unit aims to avoid frequent flipping between days and nights.
Floating Requirements: Can float to any med/surg unit on all 3 campuses in Fargo as needed.
7 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
1 reference required from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
