Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 12 months.
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health.

Required Skills/Experience: - Min 1 year recent med surg nursing experience in a large hospital setting, 250+ beds. - Travel experience including successful completion.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Experience with neuro patients preferred, but not required.
Special Requests: - Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible. - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Must take full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location. - Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. - Previous Sanford Health employment must be disclosed; if previously employed by Sanford Health, the end date must be at least 6 months before submission.
Unit Details: - Uses Omnicell and Alaris IV pumps. - Nurse-to-patient ratio: 4-5:1 on day shift, 6:1 on night shift.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend and every other holiday. - Day/night rotation varies by unit needs and may be 3 weeks on days then 3 weeks on nights in one schedule cycle, or all days or all nights in the next schedule cycle. - Travelers can self-schedule; only the days off listed in the contract are guaranteed, and self-scheduled shifts may be moved to balance the unit. If a specific day off cannot be supported, staff are asked to find someone to trade with.
Floating Requirements: - Primary unit is 6AB and travelers are expected to float to any med/surg unit at any of the 3 Sanford Medical Centers in Fargo.
7 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
1 reference required from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
