Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• 3 months of travel experience is required within the last 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• No current placement allowed at Program: TrioWFS Program - UnityPoint Health.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Strong heparin experience required. Post-op/operative surgical experience required. Spine care experience required. 24 months of med surg/medical surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting. Strong heparin experience.
Special Requests: Past UPH FTE or PRN float pool employees cannot work travel in another market if they currently work at or have worked there within the past 12 months; prior UPH travel assignments do not count toward this restriction.
Unit Details: Patient population includes med surg and post-op/spine. Heparin drips. Patient ratios are Days 1:5 and Nights 1:6.
Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 48 hrs/week, can confirm at 36 if preferred. No call. Every third weekend. Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed.
Floating Requirements: Required to float across all campuses and units, including Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist.
7 days maximum time off
2 references required from within the last 2 years
Driver’s license required for submission
