Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Central lines, tracheostomies, and chest tubes.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Travel experience on a Med-Surg floor preferred. Level I trauma center experience may be considered in place of travel experience if Epic experience is present.

Required Credentials: - Must produce a negative drug screen for all panels.

Special Requests: - At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Unit Details: - Acute care general medicine unit caring for patients with cellulitis, sepsis, dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, syncope, anemia, uncontrolled diabetes, acute respiratory failure, liver failure, kidney failure, behavioral health, and addictions. - Common titratable and/or set-rate drips: Heparin and Lasix. - Free charge RN on each floor. - PCTs assist with vital signs, accuchecks, bladder scans, and ADLs. - BiPAP/CPAP for sleep apnea, inhalers, and suctioning. - House-wide telemetry is monitored remotely; RN can view strips on pack or computer. Phillips monitors.

Shift & Scheduling: - 3x12s, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM, API electronic schedule, self-scheduling, and block scheduling allowed. - Every other weekend: Fri/Sat for nights. - Holiday requirement varies. - No call or standby requirement.

Floating Requirements: - Rotation to other acute care general medicine areas: nephrology, neuro, ortho, and oncology.

7 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

1 reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission
