Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Mary Lanning Healthcare.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Chest tubes, pain management, TPN, CBI, and wound care experience preferred. Charge nurse experience a plus.
Special Requests: 50-mile radius for all travelers. No self scheduling; block scheduling may be accommodated as much as possible.
Unit Details: Patient population includes dementia, post-surgical patients, falls, influenza, pneumonia, failure to thrive, cancer, and COVID. RNs are not required to titrate drips. Charge nurse takes patients and may have to work charge if experienced. Tele on the floor; monitor techs read. CPAP with RT to manage.
Shift & Scheduling: 7-7 shifts, days or nights. Travelers will fill in gaps of the first schedule. Generally every 3rd weekend but may be more based on need; flexibility requested. Every 3rd holiday; expect to work one of the winter holidays. No call requirement. Standby/call only if a scheduled shift off is requested or if volunteering to cancel.
Floating Requirements: Can float to PCU, taking MedSurg overflow or very low acuity PCU patients.
14 days maximum time off
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 reference required from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
