Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Required Skills/Experience - Post-op care of patients

Special Requests - Block scheduling will be considered if approved at the time of contract.

Unit Details - Surgical acute unit caring for post-op surgical, trauma, and overflow medical patients. - Common care includes dressing changes, wound care, IV therapy, pain management, drains, NG tubes, central lines, and TPN. - Some patients are on telemetry using Phillips monitors with a central monitoring station; bedside RNs do not read strips. - No vents. CPAP and high-flow are used. RT manages nebulizers, while RNs manage inhalers and can place patients on CPAP. - PCT support includes vitals, accu-checks, ADLs, turning, and ambulation.

Shift & Scheduling - Every other weekend; Saturday and Sunday are the weekend shifts. - Rotates every other holiday. - No call. - Travelers do not self-schedule.

Floating Requirements - Travelers are the first to float and will float only to units with the same level of experience. - If an ICU RN floats to a general unit, they take a team of 3 patients.

7 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

1 reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission
