Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Kentucky license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:
Unit Details: High acuity rehab unit mainly focused on spinal cord injuries. Patient population includes traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), strokes (CVA), amputees, burns, pediatric, and multi-trauma; travelers are not expected to care for pediatric patients. 1:6-7. Typically could go up to 7 2-3 times per month. Skills/procedures include trach care, vent, BiPAPs, CPAPs, IVs, PICC, central lines, wound care, bowel programs, TPN, drains/tubes, pulmonary patients with trachs, laryngectomies, central line, G-tube/Peg-tube (tube feeds). Patients float off unit for HD and PD. Phlebotomy available, but RNs are ultimately responsible. PCA/CNA support 1:7-8. Unit coordinators available 0700-2300. Team includes MDs, NPs, residents, PT/OT/ST. No monitors on unit. Vital Sync monitors connect to Oxy net, with centralized monitoring at night. Uses Plum 360 IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing. Parking: Free parking, badge access parking garage
Special Requests: First-time travelers accepted with manager approval. Holiday expectations: will be expected to work some holidays. If there are back-to-back holidays in the contract (i.e. Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day) they will be assigned one of the grouping, not both. RTO requests go through the manager.
Shift & Scheduling: Every third weekend. No call. Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.
Floating Requirements: Could float within scope of practice here. All staff evenly float; mainly use Float Pool to float.
7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 09/07/2026, 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 12/31/2026, 01/01/2027, 05/31/2027, 07/04/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 0
2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
