Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Additional Details:
Special Requests: Resume must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level if applicable, patient ratio, and whether the facility was a teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. The facility may make one-off exceptions if previously employed at the facility, but exceptions must be approved by St. Luke’s Health System. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to.
Required Skills/Experience: Must be proficient with central lines, NG tube management, ostomies, drain management, and telemetry strip reading.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with continuous bladder irrigations and Foley management preferred.
Unit Details: Multiple specialty med/surg floor with a strong surgical population, including bariatric, urology, colorectal, vascular, acute care surgery, gynecologic, plastic/breast reconstruction, Whipple, and Pectus cases; also cares for cystic fibrosis and other medical patients. Uses Epic and remote telemetry monitoring. No titratable drips; common set-rate drip is heparin. RT equipment includes CPAP, high flow, and occasional BiPAP; BiPAP-dependent patients are transferred to a higher level of care. Charge nurse does not carry a patient assignment. Travelers may be charge if needed when experienced.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend, but may be more often if needed. Holiday coverage as needed. No call.
Floating Requirements: Floating to like med/surg units between local hospitals, including Meridian Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center, is required. Travelers are first to float. Not super common.

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
