Shift: 4:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

BSN required for international clinicians.

Required Skills/Experience: IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, CPAP/BiPAP, Nasal Cannula, Oral suctioning, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Tracheostomy care/management, Colostomy care and management, Feeding tube care and management, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Spinal cord injuries, Traumatic Brain injury, Heparin, Insulin, PCA, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, IV insulin protocols, Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Total Joint Replacements, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Surgical drains

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience, Teaching Hospital Experience, Community Hospital Experience, LTAC Experience, Accessing/Managing Ports, Phlebotomy, Chemotherapy Administration, Monitoring Chemotherapy, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Non-invasive airway management, Pre/Post Thoracic Surgery, Pre/Post neurosurgery, Ortho trauma, Peripheral nerve block catheters, Post Angiogram, Post cardiac surgery, Post MI

Special Requests: RTO must be included with submission

Shift & Scheduling:

  • 36/36 or 36/48 schedule
  • Rotating Weekends/Rotating Holidays
  • No Call

Floating Requirements:

7 days maximum time off

2 references from any number of months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
