Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Meditech is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. - Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. - Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. - RTO must be submitted upfront; 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract. Additional RTO will not be approved after submission.
Unit Details: - Patient ratios: Days 1:4; nights 1:5. - Adult and pediatric patients; common diagnoses include UTI, altered mental status, pneumonia, and COPD. - No titratable drips; may see electrolytes, hypertensive medications, and diuretics. Hypertensive/hypotensive medications are not titrated, and continuous diuretic infusions are rare. - Charge nurse is present on each shift and takes an assignment. - Pediatric patients are not managed by the hospitalist; a pediatrician is on call. - No vents on the unit; occasional BiPAP is managed primarily by RT. - ICU monitors telemetry and reads strips; Med-Surg/Peds nurses apply telemetry to patients.
Shift & Scheduling: - Day/night rotation, 7-7. - Weekends as needed. - No holiday requirement.
Floating Requirements: - First to float; may float to ED/ICU for 1:1s as needed.
7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
