Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience worked in the last 12 months.
• Experience with Cerner is required.
• 12 months of acute care experience.
• ADN completion required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - LifePoint Health.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - IV competency.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Experience with post-surgical patients, particularly ortho, would be very beneficial. - Charge experience preferred.
Preferred Credentials: - BSN preferred.
Unit Details: - Patient ratios 1:5-1:6. - Adult/geriatric medical-surgical and post-surgical patient population, including orthopedic cases. - Common diagnoses/treatments include COPD exacerbation, GI bleed, diabetic complications, wound care, pancreatitis, sickle cell crisis, end-of-life care/hospice, falls, weakness, sepsis, and infection. - Uses Baxter IV pumps, SCD machines, Kangaroo feeding pumps, and PCA pumps.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Call requirements: none.
Floating Requirements: - As needed, float to surgical, neuro, and intermediate units (will take med-surg level patients).
7 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
Driver’s license required
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
