Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Required Credentials: - Must produce a negative drug screen for all panels.
Unit Details: - Tele patients are monitored by a central monitor tech; events are called to the nurse, and strip visualization is available on the floor if needed. - Common drips include Lasix and heparin. - No vents on the unit; patients may require BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow oxygen. - Common diagnoses/patient types include COPD, sepsis, CVA, COVID, pneumonia, and post-surgical patients including hips, knees, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, and bowel resections.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend required; weekend is Saturday and Sunday. - No call requirement. - Every other holiday if needed. - Self-scheduling is available, but for short contract terms the manager will enter schedules.
Special Requests: - Block scheduling may be accommodated if possible, but the every other weekend requirement must still be met.
Floating Requirements: - May float to another floor if they have the competency to do so. When floating, you will always take a full patient assignment (ICU RNs included).
7 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
1 reference required from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
