Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience within the past 4 years.
• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Previous Employment Requirements: Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.
Required Skills/Experience: Must have experience with ortho patients & PCA Pumps.
Required Credentials: If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: A lot of elective surgeries: hips, knees, shoulders; some fractures from falls; back & neck (Neuro-surgeries), as well as general MedSurg
Unit/Facility Details:
• Number of beds: 33 Beds, All private rooms
• Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
Special Requests: They will allow block scheduling as long as the needs of the unit are met.
Shift & Scheduling:
• Weekend Requirement Every-other-weekend. Weekend shifts for Nights are Fri/Sat/Sun; Days are Sat/Sun
• Holiday Requirement Holidays will depend on the needs of the unit. If they don’t have enough perm staff to cover holidays, travelers would be expected to work holidays.
• Call or standby requirement: Depending on their contract they could be called off for low census (Traveler would need to discuss the specifics w/ their recruiter if they have questions about this)
Floating Requirements: Travelers are the 1st to float. Floating is required to any MedSurg units. If floated to Tele they would be assigned patients w/ in skillset.
7 days maximum time off
1 reference from last 2 years (Charge/Lead reference type) - required for submission
1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
Driver’s license required for submission
