Summary

Job Summary:

The Mental Health Therapist Team Lead oversees the clinical functions of the outpatient mental health programs. The Team Lead provides clinical oversight, structure, and supervision to mental health therapists. 

 

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved Master’s degree program in social work, counseling, psychology or other related mental health field.
  • Active and valid advanced licensure in Maryland as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C).
  • Approved by state licensing board as an Approved Clinical Supervisor.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision.
  • Minimum experience of five years providing psychotherapy to chronically mentally ill population.
  • Knowledge of DSM 5 nomenclature, psychotherapy, psychodynamics, therapeutic techniques, interviewing skills, substance use disorders, family, and group theories.
  • Experience treating substance use disorder or a dually diagnosed population preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to plan and organize time and tasks, ability to maintain composure under stress.
