Job Summary:
The Mental Health Therapist Team Lead oversees the clinical functions of the outpatient mental health programs. The Team Lead provides clinical oversight, structure, and supervision to mental health therapists.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved Master’s degree program in social work, counseling, psychology or other related mental health field.
- Active and valid advanced licensure in Maryland as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C).
- Approved by state licensing board as an Approved Clinical Supervisor.
- Experience providing clinical supervision.
- Minimum experience of five years providing psychotherapy to chronically mentally ill population.
- Knowledge of DSM 5 nomenclature, psychotherapy, psychodynamics, therapeutic techniques, interviewing skills, substance use disorders, family, and group theories.
- Experience treating substance use disorder or a dually diagnosed population preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Leadership and management skills.
- Ability to plan and organize time and tasks, ability to maintain composure under stress.
