Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 22 months of Intensive Care Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required from any number of months

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Washington license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 6 months between Staff at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services

RTO must be listed at time of submission.

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years

Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.

-If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to the WA state regulations.

Previous Employment Requirements: Return Staff Policy: 3 month rule to return as traveler

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: -Medically complex, critically ill patients. Respiratory failure of various etiologies requiring noninvasive or mechanical ventilation, post CVL, cardiac arrest with TTM, multisystem organ failure, various shock states, CVA post TPa, COVID, ARDS, DKA, ETOH w/d.

Types of Patients on Unit: Adults, Geriatrics

Equipment Used on Unit: Zoll intravascular cooling catheter for TTM, Tortoise proning system, Phillips monitors, Drager ventilators, Zoll defibrillators and transport monitors.

Unit/Facility Details: -We are a high acuity, fast-paced MICU. Some frequently occurring procedures include- Bedside central and arterial line placements, chest tube placement, rapid sequence intubation, para and thoracentesis, code blue.

-The standard ratio is 2:1, however, if we have boarders waiting to transfer to an inpatient unit, that ratio could increase to 4:1 (boarders grouped together). -Parking Cost: Facility Paid

Shift & Scheduling: -Weekends Required: Yes -Call not required

Floating Requirements: Floating is not out of the question; travelers should be prepared to float down to tele units should census require it. Most units are fully staffed so floating would be rare but travelers should be prepared. -Candidates may be asked to float within hospital or to a sister hospital nearby.
