Experience:

• 48 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• 3 months of Epic experience is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Boston Children’s Hospital.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: - 2+ years of recent ECMO experience in a pediatric hospital. - Years of experience as an ECMO Specialist operating ECMO equipment on patients is required. - Experience working the ECMO pump. - Priming ECMO circuits.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Previous Charge Experience: Preferred. - Teaching hospital experience preferred.

Unit Details: - Position is for RTs with experience as a neonatal/pediatric ECMO specialist providing care for and operating ECMO equipment on critically ill patients. - When not functioning as an ECMO specialist, provides respiratory care in the Medical ICU, Intermediate Care, Neonatal ICU, Cardiac ICU, Medical/Surgical ICU, and Emergency Department. - Neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patient population. - Patient population includes congenital heart defects, RDS, PPHN/MAS, ARDS, reactive airways disease, restrictive lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, trach/vent dependence, pulmonary interstitial emphysema, air leak syndromes, general surgery, cardiac surgery, airway surgery, neurosurgery, and organ transplant.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every third weekend. - Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00), Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)

7 days maximum time off

2 Manager/Supervisor references required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

• RRT-NPS (Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty)
