Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience with 1 month within the last 6 months.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: - Minimum experience: 2 years of Level III-IV NICU. - Respiratory support for vents, g-tubes, NG/OG, NCPAP, UAC/UVC management, PICC lines, medication administration, care plans, and discharge to home.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Pediatric and cardiac experience preferred. - Trachs highly preferred, not required. - Experience with surgical patients and HIE (Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy) preferred.

Special Requests: - Any RTO or special requests not included on your application will not be considered. - You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit and facility. - Block scheduling possible, but not guaranteed.

Unit Details: - Patient population includes prematurity down to 22 weeks gestation, RDS, high-risk deliveries and patients, feeders/growers, and NAS. - NICU is part of the pediatric hospital attached to the adult hospital, with high-risk labor and delivery. Private rooms in NICU, with overflow of Level II nursery for feeders/growers.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend; may have a few back-to-back weekends, but rare. - No call. - Shift times: 0700-1930 or 1900-0730.

Floating Requirements: - May float to the ER to act as a sitter, but rare.

14 days maximum time off

2 Manager references required from within the last 12 months

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
