Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Min 2 years recent respiratory therapist experience. Candidate must have level 4 NICU experience including high frequency ventilation (Jet & HFOV), nitric oxide, high-risk deliveries, and gestational ages 22 weeks and above. Must indicate ventilator experience down to micro preemies in a level 4 NICU. 2 years minimum experience specialized in NICU, PICU and minimum adult GF experience. Our first choice would be NICU and PICU experienced therapist but would consider NICU or PICU with adult experience.
Required Credentials: CRT via NBRC considered.

Unit Details: The scope of work includes assessment, therapeutic intervention, and education for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders or associated complications. Respiratory therapy assessments/protocols, arterial punctures and blood gas analysis, ventilator and NIV therapy management, medication delivery, airway clearance, assist with intubations, tracheostomy changes and decannulation, extubations, emergency response teams, ICU rounds, patient intrahospital transport, and high risk deliveries. Uses Omnicell medication cabinet, Hamilton G5 & C1, V60, Airvo, Blender High Flow Set-Ups, Philips CoughAssist, Synclara Cough Device, Volara, Vest, IPV, ResMed AutoPAPs, Radiometer ABL90 Flex, EPOC POC device, Aerogen, Nitric Oxide, 3100 A & B HFOV, Braun Syringe Pump, home vents (Trilogy, Astral and Vivo), Bunnell HFJV, Infant Flow SiPAP, Bubble CPAP, Sentec TCM, NeoPuff, and Zebra mobile phones. Will not work alone; each shift has a charge in adult and children’s along with 6-14 other RTs on a typical shift at the SMCF campus. NICU works with 2-4 NICU RTs per shift. Peds/PICU has 1-3 pediatric RTs per shift.
Shift & Scheduling: Day/night rotate; every other weekend and rotating holidays, with 8- & 12-hour holiday shifts. Will consider weekend or straight night status.
Floating Requirements: Inpatient respiratory therapy care at SMCF. If interested, candidate can train to BDWY or SU campus if there are needs.
7 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
1 reference required from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
